Department of Medicine, Ryhov County Hospital

We are looking for an engaged Specialty Training Doctor (ST-läkare) in Internal Medicine who wishes to develop in a stimulating environment with good supervision, a broad range of clinical work, and the patient in focus.

The Role of the Specialty Training Doctor

In your role as a Specialty Training Doctor, you will work with investigation, treatment, and follow-up within internal medicine. The position includes both outpatient clinic and ward work, as well as emergency operations. You will also be part of the department's on-call duties. We would appreciate it if you have an interest in supervising the AT (Basic Training) doctor group.

Your Future Workplace

The Department of Medicine at Ryhov County Hospital in Jönköping is one of the region's largest departments, with approximately 350 employees, including 60 specialist doctors and 17 Specialty Training Doctors. At the department, patients with acute and chronic internal medical conditions requiring specialist resources are treated. The department has five care units with associated care administration, day care, and several outpatient clinics.

The department is part of the Medical Care operational area together with the region's other departments within medicine and geriatrics, emergency care, ambulance care, pediatric care, dermatology, and infectious diseases.

Your Profile

We are looking for a licensed physician with a strong interest in the specialty of internal medicine and a strong desire to develop professionally. You must master the Swedish language in speech and writing, at least C1 level according to the Council of Europe's scale.

As a person, you are calm and stable and have the ability to adapt to situations that may arise. You show good cooperation skills and are attentive and accommodating. In your professional role, you make correct assessments and prioritizations and show good judgment in daily work. We value teamwork, and you see the importance of utilizing everyone's competence to provide our patients with the best possible care.

We have a collaboration with the oncology department and the infectious disease department with regular weekly rounds. The department also has a close collaboration with the University Hospital in Linköping. There are good opportunities for research and development work at the department.

The position is full-time, permanent, with start date as agreed.
